As part of its ongoing commitment to support partners through technical knowledge and practical insights, Triputa Energi Mandiri (TEM) recently conducted a knowledge sharing session on Biodiesel Characteristics, Storage, and Handling at the site of one of its valued partners, PT. Harmoni Panca Utama (HPU).

The session was designed to equip HPU’s operational and maintenance teams with a deeper understanding of the behavior and properties of biodiesel—especially in the context of the Indonesian government’s biodiesel mandate, including the transition toward B40. Topics covered included the chemical and physical characteristics of biodiesel, optimal storage practices, and preventive handling techniques to ensure fuel stability and performance in challenging field conditions.

TEM’s Fuel Specialist: Practical Mitigation Strategies

TEM’s fuel specialists explained common issues that may arise from improper storage—such as water contamination, microbial growth, and oxidation instability—and provided practical mitigation strategies including filtration, additive use, and tank maintenance protocols. The interactive format allowed participants to raise site-specific questions, helping tailor the discussion to real-world challenges encountered in the mining sector. Through this session, TEM aims to bridge knowledge gaps and strengthen technical readiness among its partners. PT. Harmoni Panca Utama, a key player in Indonesia’s mining services industry, plays a vital role in implementing fuel solutions that align with both operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.

By sharing best practices and technical know-how, TEM reaffirms its role not only as a fuel supplier, but also as a trusted partner committed to the long-term success of its customers.
